Query Retentive

Sorry I haven't updated much recently. I went on vacation for a bit, and then spent a week trimming down my novel by 6000 words. It's now down to 169,000 words, which is a slightly less intimidating number than 175,000.

I've also been nitpicking my query letter. As an example about some of the things I've been obsessing over, I seem to have created a debate over at a writer's forum over whether to use:

"This book will appeal to readers of other fantasy novels with..."

or:

"This book should appeal to readers of other fantasy novels with..."

Isn't obsessing over queries FUN!?!
